Other news from the Research Council During the Conference, the Research Council will meet face-to-face on Thursday, October 16th at 3:00pm - 4:30pm in the Mirage Room.Please come! We guarantee a lively discussion and great networking. Our survey last year revealed that APNA members are very interested in research. Some of us are conducting cutting-edge studies that will affect practice, others are using cutting-edge research in their practice to improve client care. This year, in addition to creating our space on the website, we are presenting a conference workshop that came directly out of what you asked for in the survey. on Friday, October 17th! Come and join us! 11:00 - 11:45am This presentation will provide an overview of EBP and describe processes and content needed to support, teach, apply and sustain EBP in psychiatric settings. Strategies designed to activate the system and sustain engagement are discussed. An adult-learning student-centered approach will be presented as an important stance for effective EBP teaching.
